of book stacks in the Sterling C. Evans Library and Annex buildings

Equivalent (FTE) student workers and 2.5 FTE classified staff
- Developed a training program for new shelving student workers incorporating
Library of Congress Call Number training, library tour, hands-on shelving
assignment, and written assessment
- Planned and implemented a comprehensive system of shelf-reading and
stack shifting
- Planned shelving activities in two library buildings to ensure book
availability for library users, involving scheduling up to 600 work-hours
per week of student labor
- Led team of staff and student workers in large scale stack shifting
projects
- In cooperation with the Preservation Unit, planned and implemented a
stack space and preservation survey using Excel and Access
- Created an Access database program to manage student hiring and scheduling
- Responsible for collecting all in-house usage data and maintaining departmental
records and statistics using Excel and Access
